During WWII the U.S was at war with Japan, Italy, and Germany. Japan attacked U.S. shores. Why do you think that all persons identified as persons of Japanese descent in the U.S. were interned while just a fraction of those of Italian and those of German descent were interned?

  • We should begin with the presumption that nonwhite racial bias is playing a role in law and policy. If further examination suggests otherwise, great. But to fail to begin with such a presumption is to ignore centuries of concrete historical facts.
